What controls the height of the second level toolbar in Internet Explorer? When IE is opened, you have the Titlebar, then the menutoolbar which is controlled by the height of the throbber, and then a second bar below that if you have Google toolbar, standard toolbar buttons, link bar, etc. It is this second bar that is driving me crazy, because it comes up different sizes in every skin I open, and it is way larger than it needs to be, but I can't seem to find any margin settings that control this bar. Can someone point me in the right direction, please? Thanks in advance...

I think it has to do with the toolbar buttons themselves. If you, let's say add a three-pixel magic pink border on top and below a button then set the content margin of the button to be the same as the part of the button that shows at four....I think that can affect the height....just throwing that out there as a guess, 'cause I never noticed it before, but I know it affects the height of the taskbar.

Thanks for the tip, SNK... you got me to the right church, I just had to find the right pew myself. Turns out the sizing margin of the button itself affects the height. Not the content margins, but the sizing margin. Still experimenting, but Using the KewkHoE skin for example with Google Toolbar. Content margins 0,0,0,0 and Sizing Margins were like L4,R10,T12,B10. changed those visually to just include button edges to L3,R3,T3,B4 and left the cointent margins alone and voila! The size of the bar dropped by 16 pixels and the Google toolbar lined up perfectly. Thanks for the help, buddy!

Almost done. Working on Toolbar icons and Animations now. If my paid work gives me a break this week, I should have it up by next weekend. I''ve been busier than a spinster at a church social, but I suppose there are worse things to complain about.
